Weight gain? Lethargy?

Is your dog acting lazier than usual? Suddenly gaining weight? Losing her hair?

When a dog doesn’t have enough circulating thyroid hormone (a disease called hypothyroidism), she may gain weight, lose her hair or have frequent skin problems.

Puppy vaccination

Puppies should start their vaccination course from 6-8 weeks of age. Puppies younger than 12 weeks of age should receive a total of 3 vaccines. Those older than 12 weeks only need 2 vaccinations, 4 weeks apart.

The first puppy core vaccination is the C3 and it protects the puppy from severe and life threatening diseases – distemper, parvovirus and hepatitis. 4 weeks after the C3 puppies should receive a booster C3 + KC (Canine cough) vaccination, which we call C5 vaccination. This is the vaccination that puppies will receive again in 4 weeks time (at 14-16 weeks of age), and then as an yearly booster, for the rest of their lives.

It is very important that we vaccinate young puppies to avoid these life threatening diseases and also to create herd immunity – extend protection to the animals that are either too young or too old to be vaccinated or those undergoing immunosuppression treatments and, therefore, can’t be vaccinated. 💉🐶
